Assistant Manager – Corporate Services

The Assistant Manager – Corporate Services plays a key role in supporting the department's operations, ensuring high standards of service delivery, and fostering a collaborative team environment. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual committed to excellence in corporate services.
Main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Leading internal projects and remaining updated of legal developments affecting the department.
- Reviewing and enhancing internal procedures while implementing process improvements to streamline corporate services operations.
- Managing new business enquiries and coordinating onboarding processes for prospective clients.
- Promoting a unified team culture and mentoring staff to reach their full potential.
- Delivering induction programmes for new team members and providing ongoing corporate and trust training, including tailored training for the corporate team.
- Monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring adherence to internal policies, procedures, and corporate governance requirements.
- Assisting the Manager in preparing monthly statistics on targets set for the team.
- Supporting departmental strategy and business development initiatives.
- Liaising with external stakeholders such as auditors, and regulators to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
- Developing performance metrics to assess departmental effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Handling escalations and resolving complex corporate services-related issues in collaboration with senior management.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- At least 5 - 7 years' experience in the Corporate Services industry, including supervisory and/or managerial responsibilities.
- A university degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in a related field; however, candidates with extensive industry experience and a demonstrated track record will also be considered. Applicants who do not meet the formal education requirement but possess significant practical experience are encouraged to apply.
- In-depth knowledge of Company and Trust legislation, with proven ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software packages and willingness to learn company-specific systems.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and management skills, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
- Commitment to maintaining high professional ethical standards and integrity in all aspects of the role.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Skilled in challenging and debating key issues relevant to the organisation, offering informed insights.
- Capable of working independently, prioritising tasks, and delivering quality work within tight deadlines.
