Senior Quantity Surveyor for Building Services

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Level-Up. As a key member of our building services division, you will play a crucial role in the quantity surveying function, overseeing various tasks and ensuring seamless project execution.

• Quantity Surveying Expertise: Develop comprehensive project budgets, create detailed bills of quantities, formulate project estimates, and conduct thorough tender evaluations. Manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle, assess variations, and finalize project finances.
• Policy Compliance and Procedure Adherence: Maintain strict adherence to established policies and procedures related to quantity surveying frameworks, construction codes, and technical standards. Ensure accurate communication and coordination among project team members and effective information distribution regarding quantity surveying and contractual matters.
• Estimation and Procurement: Accurately estimate quantities and costs of materials required for projects, aligning estimates with project requirements and budgets. Procure and vet contractor quotations and packages, advising clients on optimal procurement strategies and anticipated costs.
• Payment Verification and Variation Management: Conduct monthly verifications of applications for payment, issue precise payment certifications and valuations, including interim payment certificates. Measure, assess, and submit variations as necessary, ensuring all changes are documented and justified appropriately.
• Financial Integrity and Collaboration: Prepare, submit, and negotiate project final accounts, ensuring all financial aspects are accurately captured and agreed upon. Liaise with professional teams, assisting in the preparation of comprehensive tender reports and documentation to confirm adjustments to tender sums.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• Educational Background: A degree in Quantity Surveying or Building Services Engineering with a specialization in quantity surveying is essential, along with a recognized professional qualification in the field.
• Professional Membership: Ideal candidates will be members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or possess equivalent professional membership.
• Experience Across Various Sectors: A proven track record as a quantity surveyor in diverse projects such as residential, commercial, infrastructure, and hospitality is essential.
• Industry Knowledge and Technical Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and BIM design systems is advantageous.
• Communication and Teamwork: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are crucial for effective interaction with clients and project teams.
