Front of House Duty Manager

We are seeking an accomplished hospitality professional to lead our front-facing operations. This role requires a hands-on, guest-focused leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and excels at delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This position involves overseeing the day-to-day management of our front office, concierge, bar/lounge, and restaurant service teams. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless check-in/check-out experiences, handling guest feedback and issues promptly and professionally, and maintaining a strong presence throughout public areas to anticipate guest needs.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supervising and motivating teams, organizing staffing during shifts, and supporting staff development through coaching and performance monitoring. You will also work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth service delivery and enforce high standards of cleanliness, service, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth and welcoming check-in/check-out experiences
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Maintain a strong presence throughout public areas to anticipate guest needs
  • Lead and motivate front office, concierge, bar/lounge, and restaurant service teams
  • Organize and oversee staffing during shifts, ensuring optimal coverage and efficiency
  • Support staff development through coaching, guidance, and performance monitoring
  • Monitor the condition and presentation of reception, lounge, dining, and entertainment areas
  • Work collaboratively with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, F&B) to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Enforce high standards of cleanliness, service, and professionalism

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory or duty management role within a hotel or resort
  • Strong leadership and delegation skills
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Maltese or Italian is a plus
  • Familiarity with hotel systems (PMS, POS, booking platforms)
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
