Accounting Manager

Industry: Financial Services Location: Malta Basis: Full time Remuneration: Salary + Benefits Main Duties: Manage client relationships and provide tailored accounting solutionsPrepare and review accurate financial statements, ensuring GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory complianceSupervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff Oversee new client onboarding for financial record integrationManage month-end and year-year closings for clients Review client bookkeeping, VAT returns, and payrollCoordinate external audits for clients, liaising with auditors and implementing recommendationsAssist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial insights Develop and maintain internal controls for clients to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reportingIdentify/implement improvements for client accounting efficiencyOversee client accounting systems and software for data integrity and securityCollaborate with departments to provide comprehensive financial services for client projects What skills do you need: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA qualified6+ years progressive accounting experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally in client serviceStrong financial reporting knowledge and proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and MS Office Suite (Excel)Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client relationship managementAble to work independently, manage multiple client priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environmentAdapts to unexpected changes and meets tight deadlines Eligibility to work in the EU is a mustWant to see more jobs?
