Job Description

Our client, a well-known insurance company, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team in Malta. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing management accounts for the group and other financial reporting duties.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Preparation of management accounts for group companies
  • Handling full set of accounts, preparing cash flow forecast, budget, and financial and management reports
  • Performing day-to-day finance operations, including general ledger, account payable & account receivables functions
  • Compiling regulatory and statistical returns
  • Data analysis
  • Assisting with supporting documents compilation and submission
  • Other financial reporting and administrative responsibilities
Candidate Profile
  • Holding a first degree in accountancy or equivalent professional qualification, or being in the final stages of obtaining an accounting qualification
  • Proven previous work experience in an audit or accounting environment, preferably with exposure to insurance
  • Possessing excellent IT skills, particularly with MS Excel
  • Being a flexible team player with strong organisational skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Maltese
