Job Title: Backend Engineering Team Lead

Triskel Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineering Team Lead to join our team in Malta. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading a team of backend developers and ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor a team of backend developers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Directly manage the performance, job satisfaction, and career development of team members.
  • Facilitate and drive the team's timely and high-quality delivery to production, taking ownership of ensuring that the team meets commitments and expectations.
  • Cultivate a culture of ownership, collaboration, and a shared passion for delivering quality products.
  • Work closely with engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach.
  • Contribute to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to gather and/or share information relating to team activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Background in Backend Engineering and experience supervising and leading other team members.
  • Experience in Backend development with PHP.
  • Solid understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies and ability to guide and mentor the team in these areas.
  • Capable of efficiently balancing daily workload between leadership responsibilities, development tasks, and Scrum rituals.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, driven, proactive, and enthusiastic with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
