Senior Client Relationship Manager / Director

A leading financial services company in the Corporate sector is seeking a highly experienced Senior Client Relationship Manager / Director to join their team of professionals.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for advising clients on the company's offerings, developing and maintaining relationships with internal departments, and supporting business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on the company's services, including family office, corporate and fund services, corporate and trust structuring, tax and estate planning, investment management, etc.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments to effectively manage clients' affairs, including compliance, legal, trust, accounting, investments, treasury & banking, philanthropy and property.
  • Support business development efforts, including acting as jurisdictional subject matter expert.
  • Undertake business development activities to acquire new clients through own network or referrals.
  • Take responsibility for clients' operations, ensuring timely, efficient, and accurate execution of transactions, and identifying and addressing operational risk matters.
  • Oversee and provide administrative support to Group Operations on allocated clients, including preparation of banking, investment, formation, termination forms, etc.
  • Arrange for and coordinate the incorporation, management, and termination of Trusts and Companies, including reviewing minutes, resolutions, and legal agreements.
  • Assist and support the FO team on day-to-day operational running of large clients.
  • Develop a complete understanding of procedural and compliance issues relating to services performed and the company's internal processes.
  • Continuous coaching and mentoring of staff.
  • Act as Director and/or Company Secretary for client entities.
  • Act as a Director of the company's entity(ies) in Malta.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years' relevant experience within a regulated financial services environment.
  • An established and current network of industry contacts and/or experience of being actively involved in industry bodies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability and maturity to deal effectively with all levels of staff and management, third party professionals, and demanding clients.
  • Risk-oriented mind-set, sharp analytical mind, good numeracy skills, and strong commercial awareness.
  • Understanding of the Family Office Business Model and ability to explain it to external persons.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in German, French, and/or Italian is a plus.
Education and Experience
  • Educated to degree level (Master's degree in Finance, Chartered Accountant, Legal, or equivalent).
  • Relevant knowledge of Maltese law (company and trust law).
