Role Overview

This role is pivotal in supporting the Corporate and Strategic Projects Director through owning day-to-day finance operations and contributing to commercial finance activities. The successful candidate will be a proactive, hands-on "doer" with a clear bias towards execution rather than oversight or review.

You will own operational finance responsibilities including month-end close, reconciliations, payment processing, treasury management, and regulatory reporting across our multi-entity group. Alongside these core activities, you will support budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and business partnering initiatives.  This role balances ownership with collaboration. You will execute the work yourself while helping to develop our existing finance team.

You must have a proven record of delivering high-quality finance support across both operational and strategic activities, with the versatility to handle whatever the business needs. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Corporate and Strategic Projects Director to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning cycles.
• Prepare, review, and analyze management accounts and financial statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities, maintaining strong financial controls and compliance.
• Monitor and analyze key financial metrics and provide insightful commentary to aid decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes through automation, standardization, and enhanced reporting capabilities.
• Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Assist with treasury, cash and banking management under the direction of Corporate and Strategic Projects Director.
• Provide financial advisory support and acting as a finance business partner to operational teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and financial discipline.
• Assist with and oversee the day-to-day transactional processing of the Finance Team.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) preferred (this is a MUST).
• At least 3-5 years of commercial finance or financial controlling experience, preferably within the iGaming industry (this is a MUST).
• Proven ability to handle high pressure, tight deadlines, and variable workload demands: a flexible and resilient performer (this is a MUST).
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence in dealing with senior management and diverse stakeholder audiences.
• FP&A experience including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis - preparation and presentation.
• Experience working in lean finance teams or high-growth environments .
• Proficient with accounting and financial systems, advanced Excel skills, and ERP experience preferable.
• Self-motivated with a practical "can do" attitude and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team setting.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to link financial results to business drivers.
