Café Cuba is a vibrant Mediterranean-inspired café and restaurant, known for its lively atmosphere, fresh ingredients, and dishes that combine comfort with flair. We pride ourselves on serving delicious, quality food with a contemporary twist, creating a welcoming space where guests return time and again.

We are currently seeking a talented and driven Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. In this role, the candidate will take full responsibility for the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth service at all times. The Head Chef will plan, create and update menus in line with the Café Cuba identity, maintaining consistent food quality and presentation that meets our high standards. Part of the responsibilities will include monitoring and controlling food costs, inventory and waste, while upholding strict food safety and hygiene standards.

The Head Chef will lead, train, and motivate the kitchen brigade, fostering a positive and professional working environment that inspires excellence.

The ideal candidate will bring at least two years' experience in a senior kitchen role within a reputable establishment and be genuinely passionate about food. Strong leadership and team management skills are essential, alongside the ability to communicate effectively in English. Reliability, flexibility, and a professional attitude are key qualities we value.

A culinary qualification from a recognised institution is highly desirable.

Applicants must hold a valid work permit for Malta and present a clean police conduct.
