A boutique Maltese accounting and auditing firm combining local and international expertise to provide financial guidance and growth-focused advisory services is seeking a Accountant to join their expanding team. In this role, you will assist with the preparation of financial statements, maintain accurate records, and support client audits and compliance processes.

This hybrid role offers a salary of up to €35K, depending on experience.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assist in the preparation of financial statements

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

  • Support audit processes and provide necessary documentation

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently

  • Perform reconciliations and assist with tax-related tasks

  • Communicate directly with clients to ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting role with a Malta-registered company

  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken

  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting

  • Familiarity with audit procedures and tax preparation support

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Effective communicator with a proactive and collaborative approach
