A Malta-based firm providing corporate services, compliance, and financial management solutions is currently looking for a Senior Accounting Advisor. The company supports businesses with regulatory, tax, and administrative requirements both locally and internationally.

As a Senior Accounting Advisor you will manage client portfolios, ensure accurate accounting records, and oversee financial reporting while supporting team members.

This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to €40K (depending on experience) plus performance bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain relationships with a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
  • Ensure accurate accounting records in line with applicable standards and liaise with relevant authorities
  • Prepare VAT returns, tax returns, management accounts, and assist auditors
  • Lead projects or ad-hoc financial reporting tasks
  • Supervise and motivate team members, reviewing their work and ensuring effective communication
  • Assist in onboarding new clients
  • Identify opportunities for business growth
  • Propose and implement improvements to systems and processes

Education, Skills and Experience

  • ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in client-facing roles, ideally within a CSP environment
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken). Fluency in another language besides Maltese is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Maltese VAT and tax legislation
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS or locally accepted accounting standards
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
  • High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Excellent communication skills
