Job Description

Our client, B&B Group, is a group of companies within the construction industry. They are currently seeking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join their company Marsa Rebar Ltd. The chosen candidate will report to the Factory Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitoring and assessing the performance and efficiency of factory machines and equipment.
  • Analysing production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Implementing corrective and preventative actions to minimise downtime and boost productivity.
  • Collaborating closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure optimal machinery performance.
  • Developing and maintaining performance monitoring systems, KPIs, and reporting tools.
  • Supporting the integration and commissioning of new machinery, technologies or upgrades.
  • Working with the Factory Manager and Production Supervisors to enhance workflow and output.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Proven experience with industrial machinery, preferably in steel, metal or heavy manufacturing sectors.
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring systems, production efficiency metrics, and maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in technical documentation, MS Office, and relevant engineering software.
  • Knowledge of process optimisation and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with automation systems and/or control instrumentation.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

This is a full-time position however occasional overtime may be required.
