Job Description

As part of the Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) Project for one of Malta`s largest ISPs, the above-mentioned career opportunity has now arisen.

The main duties and responsibilities for this position will include:

  • Keep abreast with Permits regulations and requirements.
  • Prepare necessary paperwork and submit documents for permits.
  • Managing of Civil works' sub-contractors by carrying out frequent site visits.
  • Assist and co-ordinate any issues encountered by Civil works' sub-contractors both on and off site.
  • Read and interpret site plans and civils works' proposals to ensure that works on site are being carried out accordingly.
  • Inspect civil works regularly to monitor quality, progress and whether these are according to schedule.
  • Inputting of necessary data in excel sheets and any other clerical duties as required.
  • Inform Client and assist with resolving any issues that may arise with homeowners due to the Civil works.
  • Liaise with homeowners to facilitate installation of Distribution Points and any other part of the system.
  • Visit and Laise local councils or process online payments related to permits.
  • Assist the Civil work coordinator as required.
Qualifications

The ideal applicant for this post should:

  • Be fully conversant with all Microsoft Office
  • Communicate effectively in the Maltese and English language;
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams;
  • Embrace a can-do attitude;
  • Be capable of working under pressure and with minimal supervision;
  • Be conscious of Health and Safety practices.
