Betsson Group is looking for a Financial Accountant to join the team. As a central point of contact for our satellite offices, you'll ensure reliable financial records, lead month-end tasks, and support budgets and forecasts. You'll also collaborate with auditors and play an active role in enhancing our tools, systems, and financial processes.

The Wow

You'll have the chance to drive key accounting activities from daily operations through month-end close, while helping refine our tools, processes, and financial workflows. In this role, you'll collaborate with auditors, external accountants, and cross-functional teams, giving you broad visibility and responsibility that goes far beyond standard accounting positions.

A taster of what you will be involved with:
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external accountants across satellite offices, ensuring accounting records are accurate, consistent, and aligned with budget-to-actual expectations.
  • Maintain financial records, including processing invoices and payments, recording accruals and prepayments, and reconciling balances.
  • Play a key role in month-end closing activities, including uploading data into the consolidation system.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide guidance to team members on accounting matters and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of finance systems and tools, proactively recommending potential upgrades.
  • Collaborate with auditors and consultants, assisting in the preparation and review of financial statements.
  • Conduct financial data analysis as required to support decision-making.
  • Assist with ad-hoc finance-related tasks as needed.
What we are looking for: 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years working in a similar role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Advanced numerical ability and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with initiative.
  • Collaborative team player, adaptable, and able to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
