Lead Marine Technician

Manpower is seeking to recruit a Lead Marine Technician.

As a Project Lead, youll play a crucial role in overseeing and executing high-level marine engineering tasks, with a strong focus on engine overhauls and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

· Leading and mentoring a team of Marine Technicians, ensuring that projects progress efficiently, safely, and on time.

· Acting as the project lead on assigned jobs, including the planning, scheduling, and hands-on execution of tasks.

· Overseeing and performing engine overhauls, diagnostics, and major repairs experience with Caterpillar engines is a significant advantage.

· Conducting in-depth diagnostic tests and identifying faults using manufacturer guidelines and specialized tools.

· Supervising the installation, maintenance, and restoration of marine equipment.

· Supporting preventative maintenance programs and highlighting potential issues proactively.

· Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all stages of work.

· Handling ad-hoc tasks that arise due to operational needs.

Requirements:

· Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a marine technician role, ideally with prior leadership or project management experience.

· Strong background in marine engine systems, particularly with engine overhaul procedures.

· Experience with Caterpillar engines or similar heavy-duty diesel engines is a major advantage.

· Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Engineering, or a similar qualification.

· Ability to work independently and lead a team in a dynamic environment.

· Fluent in English.

· Must hold a valid B driving license.

· Must be based in Malta or the EU.
