Senior Data Developer

As a Senior Data Developer within the Data Management & Analytics section, the candidate will be primarily responsible for assisting in data warehousing initiatives, and other related projects. This may include: • Assist in the development of a data warehouse solution, including: - Implementing data pipelines for optimal extraction, loading and transformation of data (ETL) from a variety of sources - Developing the data warehouse schema and data model - Maintaining version control - Testing data pipelines to ensure proper functioning of the warehouse - Monitoring data quality • Understand business logic and data definitions from source systems and ensure these are properly reflected within the data warehouse documentation • Work closely with data analysts and other stakeholders to define data requirements and optimise data pipelines • Collaborate with the in -house technology team, system owners, and other stakeholders in line with section's remitRequirements An MQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Analytics or other relevant fields, coupled with at least 4 years' experience relevant to this post ; OR • An MQF Level 5 qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Analytics or other relevant fields coupled with at least 5 years' work experience relevant to this post • Preference will be given to candidates who possess: - Proven experience in data warehousing principles (including data modelling and ETL) - Coding skills (preferably, C# or similar) and data querying skills (preferably, T -SQL) - Familiarity with basic DevOps practices (including Git and CI/CD); cloud computing platforms (preferably Azure); and modern data orchestration tools (such as Data Factory and Azure Synapse)
