Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Malta. As a key member of our Development team, you will work closely with our clients' IT teams to design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Managing network topologies and cabling, monitoring network infrastructure performance, operating, and supporting network equipment;
• Administering firewalls and their configurations, administering reverse proxy and load balancer equipment services, and utilizing configuration management frameworks;
• Administering periodic firmware and software upgrades of network infrastructure;
• Automating processes using scripting and/or infrastructure as a code where possible, implementing infrastructure as a code, and implementing software-defined networking;
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues;
• Identifying hardware, software, and network problems and proposing solutions; performing regular maintenance on hardware, network, and software components;
• Communicating effectively with end-users and the ICT team and participating in designing and implementing solutions for replication & disaster recovery.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A university degree combined with over 10 years of professional experience;
• Experience with system architecture design and service delivery;
• Experience with Networking and Network Infrastructure;
• Experience with setting up and managing firewall security policies;
• Experience with Configuration Management Frameworks;
• Experience with process improvement;
• Experience with troubleshooting network issues;
• The ability to write detailed technical documentation, guides, and specifications;
• An excellent command of the English language.

This exciting opportunity offers a competitive remuneration package, based on qualifications and experience, including a daily rate of €490 (all-inclusive) for on-site work in Malta and €360 (all-inclusive) for off-site work within the EU.
