Our client, operating in the shipping industry, forms part of a prominent Group of Companies. They are looking for an experienced individual to join their team and oversee the day-to-day warehousing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and supervising staff. Reporting to the Managing Director you responsibilities will include:

Set out action plans aligned with the company's strategy to ensure operations meet industry standards.
Raise and process documentation promptly and according to standard procedures outlined in the company manual.
Develop the company's warehousing and logistics business.
Generate new ideas and activities for business growth.
Ensure warehouse safety and security standards are met
Monitor warehouse operations and identify areas of improvement
Prepare and submit reports on warehouse operations
Liaising with the customs department

Working Hours Monday - Friday
Requirements A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar roleExperience in logistics and warehousing, including customs procedures and documentationExcellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong leadership and management skillsMust have a clean driving license and preferably a forklift license tooEducation and ExperiencePreferably be in possession of a Logistics qualification
