Job Description

The International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law, who's mission it is to implement good practices developed by the Global Counterterrorism Forum and other international and regional fora, is currently seeking to recruit a Human Resources Officer to join the Institutes administration function.

Whilst reporting to the Director of Administration and Outreach, the chosen candidate shall be:

- Advising senior management on Personnel Policy and HR Matters;
- Handling leave entitlement and staff benefits;
- Assisting in the recruitment and selection process;
- Developing and updating regulations and policies;
- Issuing vacancies and handling interview reports;
- Assisting in performance appraisals;
- Liaising with external entities in relation to the people management function;
- Drafting of contracts;
- Liaising with external suppliers;
- Handling data protection duties;
- Preparing data required for grant reporting purposes and contributing to the drafting of narrative reports of HR initiatives and developments
- Coordinating training and staff benefits; and,
- Any other duties which may be required from time to time. The ideal candidate will:

- Possess a university degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human resources, or a related field;
- Have a minimum of three years of experience in a related role;
- Possess demonstratable experience in analysing and drafting HR Policies;
- Possess sound knowledge of Maltese and EU Employment Regulations; and,
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English Language; The chosen candidate must have an organised and detail-oriented approach, paired with an ability to work well in a team as well as independently. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment as well as be able to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
