Job description

Are you a technical operations expert ready to drive innovation, challenge the status quo, and make a real impact? Join our dynamic Billing & CRM team as a Senior Technical Operations Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring platform stability, optimising performance, and leading technical excellence.

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor and Optimise Large-Scale Systems: Bring your expertise in application, database, and server performance to maintain optimal uptime and efficiency, especially within enterprise-scale platforms.

  • Proactively Enhance Stability: Use your technical knowledge to perform preventative maintenance, recommend system upgrades, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Solve Complex Problems: Leverage your strong problem-solving skills to conduct detailed root cause analysis, identify patterns, and implement effective solutions.

  • Drive Operational Excellence: Analyse logs, refine processes, and establish best practices to enhance platform performance and long-term stability.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with CRM developers, DevOps, and IT Infrastructure to address application-level issues and propose impactful improvements.

  • Be Proactive and Innovative: Show initiative by not only addressing system issues but also identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.

  • Mentor and Lead: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, mentor others, and champion best practices.

  • Demonstrate Technical Proficiency: Apply your hands-on experience in system monitoring, database management, and automation scripting.

Job requirements

You'll be working with:

  • Linux and Bash Scripting: A strong command of Linux environments is essential.

  • Oracle SQL: Extensive database expertise is critical for system optimisation.

  • XML/SOAP APIs & REST APIs: Knowledge of and troubleshooting large-scale integrations are key.
