Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lawyer to join our dynamic team to support our iGaming clients. The successful candidate will support the Legal & Compliance Department across a broad spectrum of legal, regulatory, and commercial matters. This role is ideal for a recently qualified lawyer or legal professional with 5+ years of post-graduate or post-qualification experience in corporate, commercial, or regulatory law, preferably with exposure to gaming, technology, or financial services.

Our lawyers work under the guidance of senior legal professionals, contributing to the company's strategic growth by ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate & Commercial Law

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts (supplier, affiliate, marketing, technology, and software agreements).
  • Collaborate on maintaining internal policies and procedures.
  • Support corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, shareholder agreements, and company secretarial duties.
  • Maintain accurate legal and corporate records for entities across different jurisdictions.

Regulatory & Licensing

  • Assist with license applications and renewals with regulators
  • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations impacting the iGaming industry.
  • Support compliance with AML, GDPR, responsible gaming, and advertising/marketing regulations.
  • Liaise with external counsel, advisors, and regulatory authorities as required.

Dispute Resolution & Risk Management

  • Provide first-level support on player complaints and escalations.
  • Conduct preliminary legal research on disputes, regulatory queries, and litigation matters.
  • Assist in identifying legal and regulatory risks and escalating issues to senior management.

Cross-Departmental Support

  • Collaborate with compliance, finance, operations, marketing and tech teams to ensure legal input on business projects.
  • Provide training and awareness on relevant legal and regulatory matters to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Possess a Doctorate of Laws or a Legal Degree; Master considered an asset;
  • At least 5 years' experience as a lawyer preferably in both litigation and iGaming;
  • Good knowledge of corporate and commercial law; employment and data protection law considered an asset;
  • Very good command of the English language, written and spoken (other language/s an advantage);
  • Ability to work independently and cooperate with different teams;
  • Excellent analytical skills with the capacity of identifying all risks and proactively choosing the best solutions
