Legal Trainee

A market leading maritime legal and financial services provider in Malta is looking for a talented Legal Trainee to work alongside some of Malta's sharpest legal minds within the maritime industry. As a Legal Trainee you will be kick-starting your career within a firm offering first class training and career advancement opportunities.
Salary up to €25K

Role & Responsibilities:

• Support the legal team in various different tasks that can change on a day-to-day basis
• Participate in the drafting all documentation required for vessel registration under the Malta flag
• Handle all legal aspects of ship sale and purchase transactions of Malta-flagged vessels
• Assist with day-to-day casework and liaise directly with clients and relevant authorities
• Manage individual client relationships independently

Skills & Experience:

• A law degree (ideally, but not necessarily, within maritime or shipping)
• Not yet warranted lawyer is acceptable
• Prior experience with maritime law / ship registration would be considered an asset
• Passion for law and the maritime industry
• Able to work effectively under pressure and is results-oriented
• Articulate and able to communicate in English, both written and verbally
