Multitude Bank, regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority, specialises in wholesale banking. As part of Multitude Group, it provides credit facilities and payment solutions to non-bank lenders and FinTechs, helping them scale operations. With a strong focus on security, innovation, and financial ecosystem growth, it plays a key role in Europe's evolving digital finance landscape.

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Investment Manager to contribute to our growing investment portfolio. In this hybrid role based in Malta, you will steer the business into profitable territories with a focus on opportunities, risk management, and superior returns.

Your focus:

• Lead the execution of the Bank's investment policy statement, ensuring alignment with objectives.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of investment opportunities, associated companies, collateral, macroeconomic trends, and competitors.
• Author comprehensive Investment Memoranda to support investment decision-making.
• Partner with Relationship Managers to structure deals and drive investments forward.
• Present investment opportunities to relevant committees for approval.
• Assess and manage acceptable risk levels in line with timeframes, preferences, and market conditions.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure thorough pre- and post-investment assessments.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including AML requirements.
• Monitor market trends, trading updates, and relevant investment news.
• Manage communications with investee counterparts, including proposals, negotiations, and post-investment follow-ups.
  

Required skills & qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in portfolio management, deal structuring, investment management, and/or credit origination.
• In-depth knowledge of financial services, investment instruments, and capital structures.
• Strong experience in company analysis and risk assessment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, provide timely updates, and multitask effectively.
• Willingness to travel for meetings with investees across Europe.
• Experience improving processes and streamlining team activities.
• Familiarity with AI tools to enhance work efficiency is an advantage.
• Experience supporting origination strategy, process, and communication improvements across wholesale banking.
