We are seeking a Junior Accounts Officer to join a professional accountancy and audit firm. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates who are at the early stages of their accounting career and looking to gain hands-on experience in a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Typing and formatting financial statements and accounting documents
  • Preparing basic accounting entries under supervision
  • Answering phone calls and assisting with general client queries
  • Chasing and informing clients regarding outstanding information or deadlines
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of ad hoc forms for the Malta Business Registry
  • Providing clerical and administrative support to senior team members
  • Performing other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum O-Level or A-Level qualification in Accounts/Accounting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Maltese
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Word and Excel)
  • Ability to work well within a team and follow guidance from senior staff
