Job Description

Our client, a leading financial institution in Malta, part of a diversified international group, and committed to delivering personalised banking solutions across our network of retail branches. They are seeking to recruit a Senior Full Stack Developer to join the Software Development Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate functional requirements from internal users into clear, standardised documentation for users, developers, and testers.
  • Design end-to-end software solutions including functional flows, inputs/outputs, triggers, automations, and database structures.
  • Develop new scripts and applications from scratch, as well as maintain and enhance existing systems across front-end, back-end, and data layers.
  • Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance across development lifecycle activities.
  • Promote best practices in software development, with a focus on modular design, performance, and reusability.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in IT or an equivalent qualification
  • Have a minimum of 8 years' experience in software development (banking experience is considered a plus)
  • Have at least 3 years experience managing or mentoring other developers
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Be capable of understanding business requests and turning them into practical technical solutions
  • Have solid experience with:C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML, TypeScript, React, Angular, SQL, Python
