Our successful client is a fast-growing business operating in lead generation across many markets and numerous properties. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a business at such a pivotal stage in its development and to become an integral part of the ambitious growth business is set to achieve. The role can be fully remote or based in Malta.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Implement best practices, expertise and knowledge into ideation and creative contribution with engineers
  • Supporting product discovery, as well as prototyping, learning and helping Product Manager and Designers
  • Cross-functional team collaboration
  • Contribution to Agile events
  • Build, test and release production quality code
  • Ownership of technical delivery within the team
  • Crisis management and defect solutions
  • Working closely with Software Testers  and other team members when required
  • Being the authority over design and ownership of Product tech architecture, lifecycle
  • Stakeholder management in coordination with Product Owners
  • Developing team process standards
  • Ideation for improvements
  • New team member recruitment
  • Performance management

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in software development with PHP/JS/HTML/CSS/SQL
  • Front-end dev experience would be a major asset, PHP template engines
  • Experience with website SEO optimization
  • Comfortable both consuming and implementing RESTful APIs in PHP
  • Experience in SASS; Bootstrap; jQuery, React, , or similar JavaScript frameworks would be an asset
  • Experience working with , Composer, Amazon S3, Redis or Varnish would be an added asset
  • Knowledge of Git or Git-based code repository systems
  • Experience writing unit tests in PHPUnit, as well as JavaScript test frameworks
  • Experience troubleshooting complex production issues
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills
  • Motivated with a collaborative mindset
  • High organization level with high attention to detail
  • Complete understanding of software development
  • Passion for quality and delivery of high quality code
  • Team leadership skills
