We are now looking for a Head of Sales & Events to lead and grow our commercial and events strategy for the upcoming opening of the new Hard Rock Hotel Malta.

The Job

As Head of Sales & Events, you will be responsible for driving all sales and events initiatives for the property, ensuring revenue growth, operational excellence, and an exceptional guest experience:

  • Develop and implement the hotel's overall sales strategy, including F&B, MICE, and leisure segments.
  • Lead the events and banqueting teams, coordinating across internal departments (F&B, marketing, operations, AV, housekeeping) and external partners to deliver flawless events.
  • Oversee key accounts, corporate clients, and partnerships to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Manage all event budgets, negotiations, and contracts to ensure profitability.
  • Provide leadership in planning, execution, and post-event reporting, maintaining brand standards at every touchpoint.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and guest expectations to identify new business opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop the sales and events teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years in a senior sales and/or events leadership role, preferably within luxury hotels, lifestyle resorts, or high-end hospitality.
  • Proven track record in achieving revenue targets and managing high-volume events.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  • Creative, solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail and guest experience.
  • Proficiency in sales and event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Degree in Hospitality, Business, Sales, or related field preferred.
