Job Role

  • Assist the Sous Chef and Chef Tournant on an as-needed basis in the assigned area.
  • Prepare food in accordance with menu recipes, quality standards, and required quantities.
  • Maintain the integrity and authenticity of recipes specific to the restaurant/section.
  • Optimize cooking processes with attention to both speed and quality.
  • Ensure safety is maintained at all times within the outlet.
  • Consistently follow food safety procedures, complying with HACCP guidelines and regulations.
  • Interact with customers by communicating menu items and promoting featured dishes.
  • Participate in training and development programs offered by the organization.
  • Foster a climate of friendly cooperation within the team.
  • Operate within the department's established budgetary framework.

Job Requirements

  • Experience working in a kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of basic kitchen preparation, various dishes, and cooking methods
  • Sound knowledge of authentic and substitute ingredients
  • Holder of a valid food handler license
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong eye for detail and a passion for food and innovation
  • Willingness to work on a shift basis in a busy kitchen environment
