Methode Electronics Malta Ltd. is seeking to recruit a Industrialisation Project Engineer within the Engineering department.

Methode Electronics is a global leader primarily in the automotive and transportation industries.  The Manufacturing Engineer shall be responsible for the development of new production lines for the assembly and End-of-Line testing of a vast range of products including driver operated switches and consoles, hidden automotive switches, power products, sensors, and illumination modules.

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing the required manufacturing process by reviewing product requirements
  • Performing manufacturing technological feasibility studies
  • Analysing and planning workflow
  • Planning the detailed equipment layout
  • Commissioning and releasing of new production lines
  • Consulting with suppliers and sourcing of components and equipment
  • Ensuring project targets in terms of quality, program timing and budget are met
  • Preparing documentation and using tools such as PFMEA, production line balancing and capacity analysis
  • Ensuring a smooth transition of new production lines to the Operations department

The ideal candidate shall:

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
  • 2 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Have good organisation and project management skills
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Be disciplined, motivated and willing to work in a team
  • Be able to work with minimal supervision and under own initiative
  • Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Be willing to travel for process development at suppliers, as well as commissioning of equipment in other Methode plants
