About the Job

We are currently seeking to recruit an Accounts Associate to join our Finance Department. The successful candidate will become part of the Accounting Team, responsible for general accounting and tax-related duties in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures, and in compliance with international accounting standards and tax regulations. This position is ideal for individuals looking to advance their accounting career within the banking sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, ledgers, reports and management accounts
  • Support month-end accounting procedures, ledger and bank reconciliations
  • Perform analysis of month-on-month variances
  • Handle general administrative tasks as required
  • Provide support to the procurement function
  • Contribute to the preparation of disclosures in the published accounts
  • Assist with internal and external audits and reviews
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation and timely submission to the authorities
  • Document procedures, policies, external guidance, and controls related to the accounting function
  • Staying adjourned and adhering to the latest AML/CFT policies and procedures.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Possess an accounting qualification at A-Level or higher
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Be self-driven and keen to develop skills and enhance knowledge;
  • Be committed to meet set targets and deadlines;
  • Have a clear focus on high quality and excellence;
  • Apply analytical thinking;
  • Be an avid team-player with a commitment to assist and cooperate with other team members;
  • adapt to change effortlessly; and
  • Work ethically according to professional & company values.
