Job Summary:

As the System Integration Engineer,  you are expected to build and maintain robust integrations between the H6 platform and core financial systems like Xero, Business Central, Sage, and NetSuite. This role requires implementing both API-based and RPA-driven automations for legacy systems. Your work will ensure the seamless flow of data, enabling our AI agents to autonomously process invoices at scale and deliver full automation with transparency to finance teams. Since we are building the next generation of Accounts Payable AI you will automate the procure-to-pay workflows by processing invoices and allocating costs.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement connectors for financial and operational objects such as invoices, vendors, purchase orders, and chart of accounts.
  
• Build unified schemas that normalize external data into clean structures for H6's AI.
  
• Develop secure, multi tenant API integrations using OAuth2, API keys, and service accounts.
• Implement background sync workers with retry, reconciliation, and audit logic.
• Build automation flows for systems that do not expose APIs (browser or portal based flows).
  
• Own end to end testing for integrations, including workflow validation, mock responses, error handling, and API test suites.
  
• Collaborate with the AI and Core Engineering teams to ensure posting, reconciliation, and document validation work smoothly.
  
• Contribute to our internal Integration SDK to accelerate future connectors.

Requirments:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in integrations, API development, data pipelines, or automation.
  
• Strong in Python and familiar with REST APIs, async workers, and structured data processing.
  
• Comfortable working with multi tenant systems, credential handling, and background job orchestration.
  
• Analytical, curious, detail oriented, and motivated to understand how systems exchange and reconcile data.
  
• Experience writing integration tests and end to end test flows.
  
• Experience with ERP systems such as Xero, NetSuite, Sage, Business Central, or SAP.
• Exposure to AP automation, accounting workflows, or financial systems.
• Experience with RPA or portal based automation.
• Familiarity with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Docker, Azure, or ETL pipelines.
