We're hiring a Player Protection Specialist to lead and own our safer gambling processes, while also helping out on the AML side, ensuring our players always enjoy a secure, responsible, and engaging experience on our social sportsbook.

We're a tight-knit, fast-moving, seed-backed team obsessed with changing how people bet on sports – turning it into a social, engaging, and team-based experience. From in-app betting to real-time, we're building the most exciting product in the space.

About the Role

As Player Protection Specialist, you'll take ownership of our safer gambling framework. You'll help design and implement player protection processes, handle customer interactions related to responsible gambling, and ensure that we remain fully compliant with UK Gambling Commission regulations.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives on responsibility, cares deeply about customer wellbeing, and wants to grow with a fast-paced startup.

What You'll Do


• Own and manage safer gambling processes across the business.


• Lead customer interactions related to responsible gambling, including interventions and reviews.


• Ensure compliance with UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) regulations.


• Work closely with compliance, operations, and customer service teams to maintain player protection standards.


• Train and support colleagues to embed safer gambling practices across the company.


• You'll also assist the Compliance team with AML obligations such as identity verification and enhanced due diligence, involving source of funds/wealth verification.

Interview Process


• Intro Screening – 15 min intro call with our Compliance Manager.


• Second Interview – Call with our Operations & Compliance Teams.


• Final Interview – Call with CEO.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves


• Experience in safer gambling, compliance, or a related role within betting/gaming.


• Strong knowledge of UK Gambling Commission regulations and responsible gambling principles.


• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage sensitive customer conversations.


• Willingness to conduct to interact with our customers over the phone if need be.


• AML experience

Bonus Points For


• Experience in a fast-paced startup or consumer tech environment.


• Knowledge of safer gambling tools, technology, and reporting systems.


• Familiarity with customer support systems such as Zendesk, Slack, or Jira.
