SENIOR CLIENT ACCOUNTANT & FINANCIAL ADVISORMalta
Our clients are seeking a highly motivated individual to join their Client Accounting department within the group. The successful candidate, reporting directly to the Assistant Finance Manager, will actively contribute to the day-to-day accounting requirements within the department.
The responsibilities of the Employee shall include but are not limited to the following:
- Managing a small portfolio of clients
- Checking team member's work for accuracy and compliance, while guiding junior accountants
- Compiling management accounts and completing VAT Returns
- Generating ad-hoc financial reports through analysis and summarization of accounting information
- Collaborating with auditors
- Preparing payroll computations
- Creating various reports, including business plans, feasibility studies, financial due diligence reports, internal control assessments, business performance reviews, and ad-hoc reports for different client applications
- Developing projected financial statements and cashflow projections for client projects using established methodologies like Net Present Value (NPV) calculations
- Assisting in identifying and submitting appropriate funding streams for the client portfolio, staying updated on new schemes and initiatives
- Identifying new business streams for the Advisory section of the company at local, EU, and international levels
- Supporting the business development function by responding to client queries
- Conducting comprehensive valuations of companies, including financial analysis and market research
- Offering strategic advice to clients on financial planning, business models, and growth strategies
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide integrated advisory services
- Assisting clients in obtaining finance and liaising with financial institutions
- Staying informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to provide knowledgeable advice
- Assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions
- Drafting reports outlining findings and recommendations
- Tax and VAT knowledge will be considered as an asset
Requirements:
- Applicants must be in the professional/final stages of ACCA or possess a university degree in accounting or be ACCA/ACA qualified.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work against deadlines and deliver in a timely manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office applications, particularly Excel
- Proven ability to quickly learn new information, processes, and procedures
- Ability to work on own initiative and in a team
- Possession of a Maltese driver's license would be considered an asset
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ €30,000.00 €40,000.00 Per Year
