Senior Accountant

Join a well-established firm as a Client Accountant, where your expertise will directly support a growing portfolio of local and international clients. Your Responsibilities As a Client Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our client portfolio is handled with precision and professionalism. You will:Deliver high-quality accounting services and manage client communications effectively and promptly.Supervise and coach junior accountants, reviewing deliverables and promoting continuous development.Plan and manage your portfolios workload, prioritising tasks and meeting internal and external deadlines.Liaise with auditors and prepare accountancy files for audit engagements.Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts in line with relevant accounting standards.Present financial reports and provide insights to clients.Handle VAT Return and Recap Declaration submissions on behalf of clients.Collaborate with internal teams and report updates to management, contributing to strong team performance and profitability. What Were Looking ForFully qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent)Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar client-facing accounting role in Malta.Solid foundation in local VAT compliance.Working knowledge of payroll processes is considered a strong asset. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Excellent organisational and time-management capabilities.A proactive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
