Job description:
Our iGaming client, a successful lead generation company operating in the iGaming and Finance industries is looking to expand their team with a Legal Counsel. This is a new role within the business, so it would be an exciting challenge for the selected candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


- Writing, amending contracts and agreements when required that might be working, freelancer, customer contracts/agreements
- Providing legal advice on any other matter as may be required, including internal compliance.
- Periodically check our sales contracts that are compliant with the Maltese Commercial Law
- Verify that third-party contracts do not have unfavourable clauses or other clauses that are not compliant with the law.
- Sending legal letters to debtors.
- Act as our GDPR Representative and guide the company accordingly both from the HR perspective and ensure compliance on our websites
- KYC for affiliate accounting registrations and assisting with the bank openings KYC
- Handling all the KYC issues and requests from operators
- Affiliate Sales Order Agreement maintenance & changes
- Support for debt collection
- Facilitate the Affiliate and Product teams with compliance requests from operators
- Apply for trademarks when/if required
- Keep updated with the various laws that concern the company
- Any other ad-hoc duties that may be required. REQUIREMENTS


- Law degree in Malta
- Possess a warrant to exercise the profession of Advocate in Malta
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Have a sound knowledge and understanding of European data protection law and of data protection international instruments
- Excellent English, both written and spoken
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and cooperate with different department heads
