Accounts Executive Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our Accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, assisting with statutory and management reporting, and supporting the day-to-day financial requirements of a portfolio of clients. This role is particularly suited to an individual who is currently pursuing the ACCA qualification, ideally at an advanced stage and nearing completion, and who is looking to continue developing their professional career within a dynamic accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for a portfolio of clients. Prepare and post accounting entries, including journals, accruals, prepayments and other adjustments. Perform bank, creditor, debtor and other balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare management accounts and supporting schedules. Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements. Prepare VAT returns and other periodic statutory submissions. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions where required. Liaise directly with clients to obtain accounting records, supporting documentation and other required information. Review accounting records and identify discrepancies or outstanding matters requiring clarification. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures. Coordinate with Audit, Tax, Corporate and other internal departments as necessary. Ensure that client work is completed accurately and within agreed internal deadlines. Maintain proper electronic filing and documentation in accordance with the firm's procedures. Carry out other accounting and finance-related duties as may reasonably be required. Qualifications & Experience Must currently be pursuing the ACCA qualification. Ideally nearing completion of ACCA or at an advanced stage of the qualification. Previous practical experience in an accounting role is required. Experience within an accounting, audit, corporate services or professional services firm would be considered an advantage. Good knowledge of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping. Experience in preparing management accounts, VAT returns and reconciliations would be advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software. Good command of written and spoken English. Skills & Competencies Strong numerical and analytical skills. Strong communication and client-handling skills. Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Professional, reliable and responsible approach to work.
