About the company
We are one of the world’s earliest and most established digital asset platforms, serving tens of millions of users across global markets. Consistently ranked among the top exchanges worldwide, we support a comprehensive suite of trading and wealth management products across thousands of digital assets. With thousands of employees spanning key financial hubs globally, we operate with a remote-first, high-autonomy culture that attracts talent who thrive in fast-moving, intellectually demanding environments. We are building the financial infrastructure of the next era of the internet. Why this role We operate a regulated crypto business in Malta, and every new product, partner and market lands on compliance first. Get it right and the business launches on schedule with the regulator’s trust intact; get it wrong and growth stalls. You will turn regulatory obligations into controls the business actually follows, and be a named face the regulator knows. Within 12 to 24 months you can own a broader compliance remit as the entity scales. This role is hybrid and Malta-based: you must already be residing in Malta with the right to work there, as we do not offer visa sponsorship or relocation support. What you’ll do
• Run day-to-day compliance for a regulated Malta entity, covering policy upkeep, monitoring and testing
• Turn MiCA requirements into practical controls, and keep them current as rules and products change
• Handle MFSA queries, notifications and inspections accurately and on time
• Review new products and partners for regulatory impact before launch, then tell senior management what you found and what to do about it
• Write a clear compliance risk report for senior management each quarter, with a recommendation on every open issue What you’ll bring Non-negotiables
• You are already PQ’d, approved by the MFSA for a compliance role, and have run monitoring, testing and policy upkeep in that seat
• You have applied MiCA in practice, from authorisation work to ongoing controls
• You have dealt with a regulator directly on queries, reviews or inspections
• You can judge a new product or partner against the rules, and explain your call and your quarterly findings to senior management without a script Bonus
• Time at a crypto exchange, broker or investment firm
• Hands-on AML/CFT work, including the Transfer of Funds Regulation and the Travel Rule
• Familiarity with DORA operational resilience requirements
