Palazzo Leone, a subsidiary of the CPHCL Group operating a care home for the elderly, is seeking a qualified and experienced Charge Nurse to join its team. The position will report to the General Manager of the home. Its main responsibility is to lead the clinical team and operations of the home, ensuring that standards, regulatory compliance and the quality of care are safeguarded.
Requirements
· Registered Nurse with a valid Maltese nursing warrant.
· Minimum 3 years' nursing experience in Malta, preferably in elderly care.
· Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
· Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
· Good knowledge of medication management, clinical documentation and regulatory standards.
· Ability to work independently and manage a nursing team effectively. Main Responsibilities
· Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department.
· Supervise and monitor the Senior Nurse and Registered Nurses.
· Ensure appropriate nursing staff allocation according to residents' dependency and care needs.
· Monitor medication management, clinical documentation and resident safety.
· Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with established procedures.
· Oversee nursing arrangements for admissions, transfers and emergencies.
· Provide guidance, support and training to nursing staff.
