Vacancy: Claims Handler (Motor & Personal Lines)
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Claims Handler to join our Claims Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and administering Motor and Personal Lines claims, ensuring a high standard of customer service while supporting clients throughout the claims process.
Key Responsibilities
Handle and process Motor and Personal Lines insurance claims from notification to settlement. Review claim documentation and assess coverage in accordance with policy terms and conditions. Liaise with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, repairers and other stakeholders. Gather, verify, and maintain accurate claim records and supporting documentation. Monitor claim progress and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding matters. Assist in negotiating settlements within delegated authority limits. Provide clear and professional guidance to clients regarding claim procedures and requirements. Ensure compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and service standards. Prepare reports and maintain claims data within the company's systems. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience handling Motor and/or Personal Lines insurance claims. Applicants who are currently pursuing professional insurance qualifications through the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) will be given preference. Good understanding of insurance policies, claims procedures, and industry practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
