- 19,48,211 INR Gross per Annum (1,386.67 – 1,473.33 Euros/ 1,52,801-1,62,352 INR Gross per Month) Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our road construction team in Malta. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy construction machinery used in road construction and civil engineering projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. In addition to operating heavy equipment, the successful candidate will be expected to carry out manual work related to the assigned job whenever required.

Key Responsibilities

¢ Operate heavy construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, graders, rollers, backhoe loaders, and other machinery used in road construction. â€
¢ Carry out excavation, grading, levelling, trenching, earthmoving, and compaction works using heavy equipment. â€
¢ Operate machinery for road construction, resurfacing, drainage, and infrastructure projects. â€
¢ Perform daily pre-start and post-operation inspections to ensure machinery is safe and operational. â€
¢ Report equipment faults, breakdowns, or maintenance requirements promptly. â€
¢ Carry out basic daily maintenance and routine operational checks on assigned equipment. â€
¢ Ensure machinery is operated safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, company procedures, and site instructions. â€
¢ Follow project drawings, site instructions, and operational plans to complete assigned work. â€
¢ Work closely with Site Supervisors, Engineers, Surveyors, and other construction personnel to ensure efficient project delivery. â€
¢ Maintain assigned equipment in a clean and serviceable condition. â€
¢ Carry out manual work related to the assigned job as required by the Site Supervisor. â€
¢ Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies. â€
¢ Report hazards, unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents immediately. â€
¢ Carry out any other duties related to road construction as assigned by management. Requirements â€
¢ Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment, preferably in road construction or civil engineering. â€
¢ Proven experience operating one or more of the following: excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, graders, rollers, backhoe loaders, or similar heavy machinery. â€
¢ Valid Heavy Equipment Operator certification or licence, where applicable. â€
¢ Good understanding of construction site safety procedures and safe machinery operation. â€
¢ Ability to interpret site instructions and work effectively as part of a team. â€
¢ Must be physically fit and willing to carry out manual work related to the assigned job. â€
¢ Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety standards. â€
¢ Basic knowledge of spoken and written English. Preferred Qualifications â€
¢ Previous experience working on road construction, highway, or infrastructure projects. â€
¢ Experience operating multiple types of heavy construction equipment. â€
¢ Knowledge of excavation, grading, compaction, drainage, and asphalt preparation works. â€
