Senior Cloud Engineer

Our client is a rapidly growing Aggregator / iGaming hub, looking for a Sr Cloud Engineer to join their Malta Ops. 

Salary idea €68-82K depending on experience.

Infrastructure & Automation

• Collaborate with engineers to design, implement, and improve cloud infrastructure on AWS, using tools like Kubernetes, Crossplane and ArgoCD.
• Champion best practices in GitOps and Infrastructure as Code, promoting secure and consistent environments.
• Work with the team to optimize systems for scalability, cost-efficiency, and operational reliability.

Incident Management & Operations

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Alloy, and others.
• Contribute to incident response and root cause analysis, helping continuously improve system stability.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence.

CI/CD & Developer Experience

• Build and refine robust CI/CD pipelines that support rapid, safe deployments for multiple products.
• Ensure smooth developer workflows by providing easy-to-use tooling and environments that reduce friction.
• Support blue/green and canary deployment strategies to improve release confidence.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work alongside developers and stakeholders to align infrastructure evolution with product needs.
• Take ownership of platform reliability and delivery tooling.
• Help improve documentation, automation, and internal processes to enhance team efficiency.

Education and Experience Required:

• Relevant formal education in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes (ideally Crossplane + ArgoCD).
• Strong background in cnfrastructure as code e.g. Terraform and CI/CD systems
• Experience supporting production systems in performance-critical, 24/7 environments
  
• Proficient in Linux systems, networking, and cloud security best practices
• Skilled in scripting or programming e.g. Python/Go/Bash
• Familiarity with secrets management, policy enforcement, and service discovery
• Understanding of compliance and security practices, even without dedicated InfoSec functions
