Business Analyst

Our client is seeking candidates with a strong background in card payments coupled with solid Business Analysis skills. The Business Systems Analyst will be part of a Cross-Functional Team, collaborating closely with stakeholders across product/business requirements, technical teams, and QA.

• Assist in managing delivery and release schedules for projects, changes, service requests, and mandatory releases in line with clients' SLAs.
• Actively participate in, and potentially lead, knowledge transfer activities, providing technical leadership and guidance during requirements analysis and handover.
• Create client requirements analysis/design documentation (where applicable) and develop High-Level Test Cases to support the generation of functional and regression test scenarios.
• Create, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases to ensure software aligns with defined business requirements.
• Engage daily with end clients and coordinate with internal teams during testing phases to ensure alignment with business requirements, agreed specifications, and timelines.
• Collaborate with technical teams to support the creation of optimal use cases and database design.
• Coordinate with the testing team across various testing phases and represent end-users during UAT, including participating in UAT and production support when required.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Business and Computing or a comparable recognised qualification.
• A minimum of two years' experience in the payments or financial industry is considered an asset; alternatively, candidates with Product Ownership experience are preferred.
• Strong understanding of requirements gathering methodologies, such as user stories, use cases, and business requirements.
• Knowledge of a scripting language, ideally SQL.
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms is considered an asset.
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines in line with business objectives.
