Risk Analyst

Ballinger Group is a leading provider of FX Treasury services, specializing in assisting clients with the mitigation of currency risk through tailored solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Risk Management Team in Malta as a Risk Analyst.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess and analyse credit risk associated with clients seeking FX Treasury services.

- Evaluate financial statements and other relevant information to determine creditworthiness.

- Prepare comprehensive credit risk reports, outlining key findings and recommendations.

- Provide recommendations on whether to grant credit facilities to clients.

- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for informed decision-making.

- ERM Policy and Procedure Development and Review.

- Assist in meeting DORA requirements throughout 2024 to ensure compliance with regulations.

- ERM Risk assessment, involving the analysis, identification, description, and measurement of risks affecting our entity, documented in a risk register.

- Conduct regular risk and control self-assessment exercises with risk owners and control owners.

- Recommend and set internal risk controls for day-to-day business management.

- Risk reporting, including risk metrics, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), dashboards, and emerging risks.

- Work closely with the Risk Manager and other team members to support various risk management initiatives.

- Assist with maintaining and improving our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solution.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

- Fluent in English.

- Experience working in risk management roles in the financial services industry, preferably within the investment services sector.

- Possession of a recognized degree in a related field.

- Ability to work in a team, as well as on own initiative.

- Meticulous and organized, with great attention to detail.

- Familiarity with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA)

- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of business continuity planning and disaster recovery planning, emphasizing the ability to navigate and mitigate potential risks effectively.
