We're hiring a Customer Service Operative to elevate the customer experience on our social sportsbook – keeping things running smoothly and ensuring players always get a top-tier experience.

Who are we?

Founded in summer 2022 and named EGR's Most Innovative Startup, Stakemate is transforming the UK's sports betting scene with our category-defining #1 Social Sports Betting App.

We're a tight-knit, fast-moving, seed-backed team obsessed with changing how people bet on sports – turning it into a social, engaging, and team-based experience. From in-app betting to real-time chat and live game updates, we're building the most exciting product in the space.

Requirements

About the Role

As a Customer Service Operative, you'll be a key part of our growing operations team – you'll join the customer service team, while also working with the sportsbook team and the compliance team.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives on variety, loves sports, and wants to grow with a fast-paced startup.

What You'll Do

  • Customer service: Help give our customers the support they need with support from other members of the operations team.
  • Support operational excellence: Work with the operations, trading and compliance teams to keep our daily processes smooth.
  • Jump in where needed: This role includes rotational weekend work to support key sporting events.

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 1–2 years experience in operations, customer service or admin roles – ideally in tech, consumer apps, or betting.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for sports – you don't need to be a betting expert, but you should love game day.
  • Willingness to work a rota that includes weekends (time off in lieu provided).

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with sportsbook platforms, trading tools or iGaming operations.
  • Familiarity with tools like Slack, Notion, Jira, Zendesk.
  • Comfortable working in a startup or fast-moving environment.
  • Payments experience.

Interview Process

  • Intro Screening – 15 min intro call with our current Customer Service Lead.
  • Second Interview – Call with our Operations Team.
  • Final Interview – Call with CEO.

Working Setup

  • You'll be part of our Malta-based team, with 2-3 days a week in our St Julians office, the rest remote.
