As part of their continued expansion, our client is seeking an experienced Venture Capital Lawyer to join their team. This position plays a key role in managing deal flow and supporting the full investment lifecycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of venture capital transactions and ensuring that each deal is structured efficiently, compliant across jurisdictions, and aligned with the firm's commercial goals.
Location: Fully remote
As Venture Capital Lawyer, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Draft, review, and negotiate venture capital and commercial agreements, including shareholder agreements, investment agreements, share purchase agreements, and memorandum and articles of association.
- Prepare and review general commercial contracts such as employment agreements, service agreements, and profit share agreements.
- Coordinate company incorporations and corporate structuring activities.
- Liaise with external legal specialists on specific matters.
- Advise on a range of commercial and regulatory issues across multiple jurisdictions.
- A European or preferably Maltese Law Degree.
- Previous experience in iGaming and/or lead generation sectors is considered advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Maltese and international corporate tax law is a plus.
- Experience with investment management regulations will be considered an asset.
- Fluency in Business English and Legal English.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently and effectively.
- A proactive, well-structured, and independent approach to work.
