Junior Software Developer

We are seeking to hire a top Junior Software Developer to join our software development team to help us develop further our business banking ecosystem. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate and comes with an attractive package and including stock options.

You will be part of a core engineering team, building the world's most robust business banking ecosystem platform, connecting financial partners with SMEs. We are looking for individuals that are self-motivated and are excited to build business applications that drive revenue and delight our customers. Based in Malta, the Junior Software Developer will help deliver innovative technologies that revolutionize the business banking payments industry. As a small team, we are agile and deliver payment solutions for our customers in a fast and efficient manner. 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Participate in design and architecture sessions with key stakeholders, gathering and documenting business processes and technical requirements
• Ensure code quality standards are enforced during the peer review process
• Helping product owners to provide feasible estimates during sprint planning
• Support the deployment process, including review of logs for errors after code deployment to all environments
• Monitor and reduce technical debt while supporting constant improvements in the SDLC
• Maintaining existing API's
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the business logic embodied in our software and its developed infrastructure and project delivery process

Requirements

• Understanding of microservices and related concepts (clustering, caching, RESTful APIs etc.)
• Experience with Docker; Experience with Kubernetes and IaaS (Google Cloud / AWS / Microsoft Azure) considered an asset
• Some experience in front-end technologies (React / Angular) is considered an asset
• Knowledge of the Fintech domain is a great advantage
