Tax Compliance Officer

International CSP, with a thriving branch in Malta and authorised by the MFSA, is urgently seeking a Tax Compliance Officer to join their growing team. This well-established company specialises in providing corporate and fiduciary services to both local and international clients.

As a Tax Compliance Officer, you will be working alongside a team of experienced professionals, supporting the day-to-day management of tax compliance, ensuring adherence to internal policies and Maltese regulations.

Salary up to €50K.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret changes in local and international tax legislation
• Ensure clients remain fully compliant with Maltese tax laws and regulations
• Prepare income tax computations and returns for both individuals and corporate clients
• Handle tax refund claims, shareholder registration forms, and dividend warrants
• Liaise with the tax authorities on matters related to compliance
• Conduct tax research to improve current processes and identify new service opportunities
• Guide and mentor junior team members, offering training and support where needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a tax or compliance role
• Strong command of English (C2 level or native proficiency)
• Hands-on experience with the Maltese Tax System
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic work environment
