Job Title: Head of Payments
Location: hybrid in the Mhriehel, Malta or remote from Europe/Asia

The Role

We are seeking a Head of Payments experienced in both crypto and fiat markets to join our fast-growing crypto casino. The successful candidate will oversee all payment operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processing of deposits, withdrawals, and payment reconciliations. This role involves managing relationships with payment service providers (PSPs), ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and optimising the payment experience for customers.

KeyResponsibilities

• Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee daily operations of payment systems for both FIAT and crypto deposits, withdrawals and refunds.
• Market Strategy:Define and implement strategies and payment solutions for market entry and optimization strategies.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor and analyze payment success rates and troubleshoot/optimize issues promptly.
• Reconciliation: Ensure up-to-date and prompt reconciliation of all payment transactions.
• PSP Relations: Manage relationships with Payment Service Providers. Negotiate agreements and favourable terms with PSPs. 
• Technology Advancements: Stay up to date with advancing payment solutions and technology. Drive payments integrations to enhance user experience. Continuously review and update payment processes to improve satisfaction.
• Monitor and Eliminate Fraud: Mitigate payment fraud risks and implement and monitor anti-fraud measures. 
• Review Trends: Analyse payment trends and provide data-driven reports to management on the performance of payment systems for improvements.
• Strategic Department Growth: Make strategic and data-driven decisions related to the expansion of the Payments department in alignment with company growth.

What You Bring

• Proven experience (3+ years) in payments management within the iGaming ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of cryptocurrency ecosystems, blockchain technology, and digital platforms.
• Strong understanding of payment systems, gateways, and processors.
• A strong understanding of PIQ is required.
• Team player with strong leadership skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with chargeback and fraud prevention strategies.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks in gaming or crypto is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of the iGaming space, with knowledge of key competitors.
