Our client is into financial industry looking to recruit Infrastructure Engineer; he/she will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the management of the client's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software systems, virtualised environments, back-up solutions, end-user devices and cloud solutions;
- Supporting in ensuring the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability by maintaining monitoring systems;
- Performing installations, upgrades, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and resource optimization of the client's IT infrastructure;
- Recognising and resolving issues impacting the client's IT operation, providing 2nd level support, whilst assisting with 1st-level incidents;
- Liaising and escalating issues with third-party service providers;
- Assisting with the client's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for the client's infrastructure;
- Complying with IT operations best practices; and
- Maintaining updated documentation related to the client's infrastructure.
Requirements
- Be hard working, responsible with an organised approach to work;
- Possess a bachelor's degree in it or equivalent;
- Have at least have 3 years of experience in it infrastructure engineering or administration;
- Have strong knowledge and skills in windows servers and active directory;
- Have experience with cloud services with preference to the azure cloud;
- Be experienced with microsoft 365 services;
- Have experience in sql databases with preference to microsoft sql server;
- Have a good knowledge in identity management ad and entra id;
- Have a sound knowledge of vmware;
- Be experienced with backups and replication with veeam;
- Have experience with network administration with particular focus to cisco equipment;
- Have a basic understanding and experience in linux will be considered an asset;
- Have a strong customer focus, and knowledge of it service management standards and procedures;
- Possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
- Be an excellent team player with an analytical approach to work; and
- Possess professional certifications. Specialisation in any of the above technologies will be considered an asset.
