Job Summary

Overall Purpose:

The Digital Creative Content Writer shall drive the Bank's content strategy by creating engaging, high-quality content that strengthens brand presence and enhances customer engagement. This role involves collaboration closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives, while optimizing the Bank's digital channels for maximum reach, impact, and consistency. The job holder will play a key part in shaping the Bank's voice across platforms, leveraging data-driven insights to improve performance and deliver a seamless digital experience.

Key Responsibilities

The job holder will be responsible for:

  • Developing high-quality written content for the Bank's owned social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
  • Writing captions, scripts, social posts, campaign copy and micro-content tailored to platform best practice.
  • Adapting tone, structure and format to suit channel, campaign objectives and target audience.
  • Working closely with internal units to plan and execute BAU, campaign and reactive content.
  • Proposing new content ideas to strengthen the Bank's digital footprint and audience engagement.
  • Writing and editing content for the website, Blog, FAQs, product descriptions, and customer information pages.
  • Maintaining content accuracy and support urgent updates across social media and website.
  • Ensuring compliance with Maltese financial regulations, internal policies, and content governance standards.
  • Optimising content using Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Social SEO and discoverability best practices.
  • Supporting the social media Team in distributing content across all digital channels.
  • Assisting with analysing engagement, sentiment and customer feedback data to inform content decisions.
  • Contributing to channel governance, controls, tagging, documentation and consistency guidelines.
  • Staying updated with digital trends, platform developments and emerging formats.
  • Assisting in refining SOPs and improving workflows for content delivery.
  • Providing multimedia support, including scripts, subtitles, and captions for video content.

In addition to the specific functions, management may assign more duties as required for the job from time to time.

Required Criteria

Previous proven work experience of two (2) years in content-writing or a related area, and an MQF Level 4 Award in Marketing, Communications or a related field.

OR

Previous proven work experience of three (3) years in content-writing or a related area.

OR

An MQF Level 6 Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.

Desirable Criteria

Previous proven direct work experience in writing for social media platforms and websites.
